IP MAN 2

Continuing from where the first film left off, Wing Chun master Ip Man and his family move to Hong Kong in the early 1950s after their escape from the Japanese. There, he desires to open a school to propagate his art, as well as make his living, but he has difficulty attracting students due to his lack of reputation in the city. One day, a young man named Wong Leung (Huang Xiaoming) appears and promptly challenges Ip to a fight to test him, but is easily defeated in a brief bout. Leung leaves humiliated, only to return with some friends to gang up on him. Ip beats them as well. Stunned and impressed by his skills, Leung and his friends become his first students, bringing more disciples to help the school thrive. Ip later encounters his old friend Chow Ching-chuen (Simon Yam), and his son Kong-yiu while out shopping; Chow had apparently suffered a gunshot wound to the head from the Japanese. As a result, he suffered brain damage that has affected his memories, leaving the pair of them destitute. Ip is saddened by his friend's fate and offers to help Kong-yiu take care of his father, providing him with a job at a newspaper agency run by a friend.

Meanwhile, Leung is caught pasting leaflets promoting Ip's school by some
Hung Ga students. One of them challenges Leung to a fight and loses, but his friends take Leung hostage in revenge, hoping to extort money from his master. Ip receives word of the kidnapping and goes to the local wet market as appointed, but the meeting ends in a confrontation with a growing mob of Hung Ga students. Ip and Leung fight their way outside to meet Jin Shanzhao (Fan Siu-Wong) — the martial artist and former bandit in the first film — who comes to their rescue with his own gang. Renowned Hung Ga master, Hung Chun-nam (Sammo Hung), arrives to break up the fight. Ip introduces himself, and Hung informs him that to set up his own school, he must be subjected to a ceremony where he must be challenged by the city's Kung Fu masters. Ip, Leung and Jin are subsequently arrested by Fatso (Kent Cheng) for disturbing the peace, but they each manage to make bail and are released. Hung is then shown to be acting as a collector for the other masters and himself as part of a protection racket, headed by Superintendent Wallace, a corrupt officer in the Hong Kong police.

Ip attends the ceremony and defeats his first challengers, and then strikes a
draw with the last challenger, Hung. Ip is allowed to keep running his school on the condition that he pay the monthly protection fees, but he declines. Hung thus has his students loiter in front of the Wing Chun school and harass anyone interested, causing a street brawl between them and Ip's disciples. Ip is thus forced to close up and move the school nearer to home. He soon confronts Hung for his bullying and their respective views on integrity, then nearly engage in another brawl before being interrupted by Hung's family. Ip respectfully leaves, and the next day, Hung invites him to a British boxing match he had helped to set up.

The boxing competition begins with the various martial art schools demonstrating their skills. However, the event's star boxer, Taylor "The Twister" Milos (
Darren Shahlavi), looks down on the display and openly insults and attacks the students, causing chaos as the masters try to restore order. Hung accepts Twister's challenge to a fight so that he can defend his culture's honour. While Hung's skills are evident and possibly superior to The Twister's, he soon begins to weaken from asthma, causing him to sustain severe injuries. Although Ip tries to persuade Hung to stop the fight, the latter states it is essential to defend the honor of Chinese culture, referring to The Twister's earlier disrespect and insults. The Twister takes advantage of Hung's weakened state and brutally kills him. News of Hung's murder rapidly spreads throughout the enraged Chinese populace, and Wallace acts quickly to suppress further spread of the news, arresting the editor of the local newspaper, Leung Kan, and attempting to break his hands with a baton to warn him against further publication. The scandal resulting from the fight also prompts British authorities to hold a press conference. Hung's death was ruled an accident, and it is announced that another match will be held in which Twister will accept any challenge from the Chinese out of goodwill. Twister takes the opportunity to mock Chinese traditions and declares his belief that the Chinese are too weak to defeat or even challenge him. Ip arrives and accepts the challenge.

Wing-sing goes into
labor while Ip trains for the fight. Shortly after, Ip begins his fight with Twister. Initially, Ip has trouble effectively injuring Twister and takes several heavy blows. Finding his rhythm, he is able to briefly incapacitate Twister. Angry, Twister ambushes Ip with a heavy blow to the face after the bell announcing the end of a round is rung. To add insult to injury, the judging panel, heavily dominated by Western judges, rules to ban kicks, limiting Ip's fighting style. Without time to adjust, Ip takes several more hard blows and is knocked down again. Encouraged by Hung's words and courage in his dying moments, Ip gets up again, and in a flurry of his own blows (mixed in with several of Hung's techniques), he knocks out his opponent but shows mercy and restraint (contrary to Twister's earlier actions in killing Hung). As the Chinese audience cheers, Wallace is arrested by his superiors for his corrupt behavior, thanks to information provided by Fatso. Ip then gives a speech to the audience, stating that the fight was not to prove one fighting style's superiority over another, and that despite the differences in social classes, there should be no differences in an individual's integrity, wishing for everyone to respect one another. Ip goes home and reunites with his family, with Wing-sing having successfully given birth to their second child. A final scene shows Kong-yiu introducing a young boy to Ip, who wishes to study Wing Chun: Bruce Lee. Ip smiles and tells the boy to come back when he is older.

ROBIN HOOD

Deretan film yang aku tonton nambah satu lagi ... ROBIN HOOD ...
Awal2nya aku gak begitu ngerti ... tapi pas bagian akhir2 gitu ada perang2nya ... jadi gak ngantuk lagi karena seru ...

It is late 12th century England and Robin Longstride (Russell Crowe) is a common archer in the Third Crusade. Following the death of Richard the Lionheart in battle, Robin and three other common soldiers- Alan A'Dale, Will Scarlett, and Little John- attempt to return to their homeland, having spent ten years fighting abroad. Along the way they come across an ambush of the King's guard by Sir Godfrey (Mark Strong), an English Knight with French lineage and allegiance. The King of France had ordered Sir Godfrey to assassinate Richard. Having discovered the King is already slain Sir Godfrey is chased off by the arrival of Robin and his companions. Aiming to return to England safely and richer in pocket than they left it, Robin and his men steal the armour of the slain Knights and head for the English ships on the coast under the guise of noblemen. Before leaving the scene of slaughter Robin promises a dying Knight, Sir Robert Loxley, to return a sword to the man's father in Nottingham.

Upon arrival in England, Robin (who has assumed the identity of Loxley) is chosen to inform the Royal family of the King's death and witnesses the crowning of
King John (Oscar Isaac), who is the younger brother of the recently-deceased Richard. The arrogant King John shows no remorse to his poor Kingdom and demands harsh taxes to be collected, sending Sir Godfrey off to the North with the task of raising revenue. Unbeknownst to King John, Sir Godfrey is an agent of the French King and uses this Royal Decree to stir up enough unrest to cause Civil War in England.

Robin and his companions head to Nottingham, where Loxley's father, Walter (
Max von Sydow) asks him to continue impersonating his son, in order to prevent the family lands being taken by the crown. Loxley's widow, Lady Marion (Cate Blanchett), is initially distrustful of Robin, but soon warms to him when he recovers taxed grain for the townsfolk to plant.

Meanwhile, Godfrey's actions have stirred up the northern Barons, who march to meet King John, and demand the signing of a charter of rights. Having realized Godfrey's deception, and knowing he must reunite his people in order to meet an imminent French invasion, the King agrees. A battle follows shortly where Godfrey's men are interrupted while ransacking Nottingham, and chased off by Robin and the northern Barons.

The film climaxes with an invasion on England's south coast by the French, who are met as they land by the English army. The English are victorious in the ensuing battle, during which Robin slays Godfrey with a well-placed arrow from a long distance. However, King John perceives the French surrendering to Robin, rather than to him, and John sees this as a major threat to his power. In the final scenes, King John reneges on his word to sign the
Magna Carta, and declares Robin to be an outlaw. Thus, Robin moves to Sherwood Forest with Marian and his friends to form what will become the Merry Men of Sherwood Forest and win the accolade of Robin of the Hood (Robin Hood), becoming a legendary figure in English folklore.

Awal pekan, aku udah suntuk banget ... gak tau kenapa ... kok bawaannya males ngapa2in yah .... padahal week-end baru aja lewat ... mau bolos gak enak ...

Ngapain yah enaknya???? Ah aku ajak temenku nonton DATE NIGHT aja ... pasti dia gak bakalan nolak ...
Eh bener, ternyata ekspresi dia setelah nonton film itu ... seneng ... Habis filmnya emang kocak ...

Phil and Claire Foster (Steve Carell and Tina Fey) are a married couple from New Jersey with two children whose domestic life has become routine. Phil is a tax advisor while Claire is a realtor. They have a weekly "date night" at a local steakhouse followed by a movie, but it is just as routine as everything else in their marriage. They learn that their best friends, Brad (Mark Ruffalo) and Haley (Kristen Wiig), are getting a divorce.

In an effort to reignite romance, Phil takes Claire to a trendy Manhattan restaurant where they can't get a table. Phil decides to take a reservation from a no-show couple, the Tripplehorns, despite Claire's misgivings. Halfway through their meal, they are approached by two men named Collins (Common) and Armstrong (Jimmi Simpson), who question them about a flash drive they believe Phil and Claire stole from mobster boss Joe Miletto (Ray Liotta). Phil and Claire try to explain that they are not the Tripplehorns, but the two men threaten them at gunpoint. Not seeing any other way out, Phil decides to tell them it's in a boathouse in Central Park.

At the boathouse, Claire pretends to search; while Collins' and Armstrong's backs are turned, Phil hits them with a paddle and escapes with Claire on a boat. At a police station, Phil and Claire talk with Detective Arroyo (
Taraji P. Henson) but discover Collins and Armstrong are also detectives, presumably on Miletto's payroll. Realizing they can't trust the police, they decide to find the real "Tripplehorns". They go back to the restaurant and find their phone number.

Claire remembers one of her former clients, Holbrooke Grant (
Mark Wahlberg), is a security expert. At his apartment, Grant, whom Claire flirts with, traces the signal to an apartment owned by Tom Felton. Collins and Armstrong arrive but Phil and Claire escape in one of Grant's cars. In the car, they argue.

They arrive at Felton's apartment and break in. They question Felton, nicknamed "Taste" (James Franco), and his girlfriend "Whippit" (Mila Kunis) about the flash drive and Joe Miletto. It turns out that they had gone to the restaurant but left when they spotted Collins. Realizing they are now in danger, the couple gives the flash drive to Phil and escape. When Phil and Claire get back in the car, Armstrong and Collins start shooting at them. Phil and Claire crash into a cab. Phil and the cab driver (J. B. Smoove) decide to drive off to get away. Phil climbs into the cab so he can navigate while Claire navigates the other car. Phil checks the flash drive on the driver's Amazon Kindle and finds pictures of district attorney Frank Crenshaw (William Fichtner) with prostitutes. After evading Collins and Armstrong and multiple squad cars, they are eventually hit and separated by another car. The cab falls into the river; Phil and the driver escape, but without the flash drive.

In a subway, Claire determines that Felton obtained the flash drive to blackmail Crenshaw. They go back to Grant's apartment, and Grant is reluctant to help this time after becoming exhausted from their incompetence, but Phil begs him and he agrees. Phil and Claire go to the strip club that Crenshaw frequents, with Claire under the guise of a new prostitute and Phil her pimp. Claire changes outfits and the two go into the room where Crenshaw is. After doing a pole dance for him, they confront him and tell him they are the Tripplehorns. Collins and Armstrong come in and hold them at gunpoint and take them up to the roof with Crenshaw. Miletto arrives with henchmen and it is revealed that Crenshaw has been paid by Miletto to keep him out of jail. When Phil mentions the photos, a feud escalates between the mobsters and Crenshaw, Collins, and Armstrong. Phil then asks Claire to count to three and when she does, a helicopter appears and Arroyo and the police come onto the roof to arrest Miletto, Crenshaw, and everyone else. It is revealed that Phil was wearing a wire courtesy of Grant, who informed Arroyo of the situation.

Phil and Claire enjoy breakfast at a local city diner afterward, where Phil admits that he would marry Claire and have their kids all over again if given the chance. When they arrive back home, they begin making out passionately on the front lawn for an extended period of time.

An after credits scene shows alternate lines and bloopers for various takes.

THE GHOST WRITER

Pas week-end, selain ke Serpong dan Bogor, aku sama temenku juga nonton film THE GHOST WRITER ... padahal tadinya aku pingin nontonnya When In Rome ... tapi di bioskop yang kita datengin gak main ... yah udah deh ... tapi gpp juga sih nonton THE GHOST WRITER ... kan ada Pierce Brosnan-nya ...

When a successful British ghostwriter agrees to complete the memoirs of former British Prime Minister Adam Lang, his agent assures him it's the opportunity of a lifetime. But the project seems doomed from the start—not least because his predecessor on the project, Lang's long-term aide, died in an accident. The ghostwriter flies out to work on the project, in the middle of winter, to an oceanfront house on an island off the U.S. Eastern seaboard. But the day he arrives, a former British cabinet minister accuses Lang of authorizing the illegal seizure of suspected terrorists and handing them over for torture by the CIA—a war crime. The controversy brings reporters and protesters swarming to the island mansion where Lang is staying with his wife, Ruth, and his personal assistant (and mistress), Amelia. As the ghostwriter works, he uncovers clues suggesting his predecessor may have stumbled on a dark secret linking Lang to the CIA—and that somehow this information is hidden in the manuscript he left behind.

CLASH OF THE TITANS

Percaya gak ... aku nonton film CLASH OF THE TITANS ini di Bandung ...

The film begins with a narration that explains the three Olympians who battled the Titans long ago: Zeus, Poseidon, and Hades. Hades provides their means of defeating the Titans with his creation, the Kraken. After the Titans' defeat, Zeus created humans and ruled them while Poseidon ruled the sea, but Hades, having been deceived by his brother Zeus was forced to rule the Underworld, learns an alternative means of gaining power from humans different from his brothers receiving theirs from human devotion: fear.

Millenia later, a fisherman named Spyros finds a coffin adrift in the sea, discovering a baby, Perseus, and his dead mother, Danaë, inside. Spyros decides to raise Perseus as his own. Years later, Perseus and his family are fishing when they witness a group of soldiers from Argos destroying a statue of Zeus as a declaration of war against the gods. Hades appears and commands harpies to massacre the soldiers before he himself destroys Perseus's family's fishing boat. Perseus tries to save his family but to no avail, the surviving soldiers take Perseus back to Argos. During a feast for the returning soldiers King Cepheus and Queen Cassiopeia of Argos compare themselves and their daughter, Andromeda, to the gods much their daughter's dismay. After convincing his brother to let him loose on humanity to punish Argos for its defiance, Hades appears in the Argos' courtroom before killing the remaining soldiers with Perseus is unaffected. Revealing Perseus to be the demigod son of Zeus, and aging Cassiopeia to death, Hades threatens that if Princess Andromeda is not sacrificed to the Kraken, Argos will be destroyed in 10 days.

The king seeks the help of Perseus after he is placed in the dungeon. Perseus initially refuses until he meets Io, a woman who does not age as punishment for refusing to be seduced by a god. Io then reveals his conception was a punishment conducted by Zeus on Acrisius, the former king of Argos who was married to Danaë, for his actions against the gods. When Acrisius sets Danaë and the baby Perseus adrift in their coffin; an enraged Zeus struck Acrisius with lightning, leaving him hideously disfigured. After learning that killing the Kraken would allow him to have his revenge against Hades, Perseus accepts as he and Argos' finest soldiers embark on a quest to find the Stygian Witches with a pair of hunters and Io following. To counter this turn of events, Hades enlists Acrisius, now called Calibos, to kill off Perseus by giving him a bit of his power.

While in the woods, Perseus and his men discover a sword forged in Olympus that will only display power if it is wielded by Perseus. Perseus refuses both it and a Pegasus that the gods are offering, as he does not wish to be a god. Calibos attacks the group, loosing his hand before he escapes. However, Calibos' blood forms giant scorpions from the sand that attack Perseus and his group. Though they slay several scorpions, most of the group are slain, and the survivors surrounded by more of the monsters. They are saved by the Djinn, cursed men with magical powers, who tame the scorpions. Though not trusted prior to healing Perseus wound, a Djinn joins Perseus's group as his kind wish to see the gods defeated.

At the Garden of Stygia, the Stygian Witches tell Perseus that the head of Medusa could kill the Kraken, but that Perseus and his group will die in the process. After leaving the witches, with the hunters taking their leave, Perseus is visited by Zeus who offers him asylum on Mount Olympus. He refuses. Zeus gives him instead a golden drachma, which Perseus learns is a means to bribe Charon for passage into the Underworld. While Io remains outside Medusa's lair, due to a spell that forbids any woman from entering the area, Perseus' remaining soldiers fight hard to stay alive, turning to stone one by one by her gaze. But with the Djinn self destructing himself and Draco's sacrifice, Persues manages to behead Medusa. By the time he emerges, watching Io get mortally wounded, Perseus engages Calibos in combat and kills him, using the sword from Olympus to stab him in the heart. With his final breath, Acrisius tells Perseus to never become a god. Perseus rides Pegasus back to Argos with Medusa's head to find some citizens of Argos have formed a cult of Hades and are planning to sacrifice Andromeda to the Kraken. Hades reveals to Zeus the destruction of Argos will give him enough power to overthrow the other Olympians. As the Kraken begins its advance, Zeus learns of Hades's true agenda and is powerless to stop him as the god leaves for Argos to ensure his victory.

Perseus returns to Argos, but Hades sends his harpies to stop him before Perseus defeats the creatures sent by Hades and uses the head of Medusa to turn the Kraken into stone as Cepheus is killed by the cult leader before being crushed until the shattering Kraken. Using the sword, Perseus drives Hades back to the Underworld. After saving Argos from destruction, Andromeda suggests that Perseus become king and rule Argos at her side, but he declines. Zeus appears before Perseus again and offers to make him a god, but he refuses. Zeus warns Perseus that Hades will return to rule the world in darkness when he amasses enough fear from mankind. Since Perseus is intent to stay on Earth, Zeus resurrects Io, and the two embrace while Pegasus flies above them.
